Snapfish
interaction design
Snapfish is an online photo processing and
sharing website. I worked with the wonderful team of designers at Snapfish*
over a period of 10 months to help add or redesign a number of features.
Shown first is the redesigned rotate process.
Users are able to choose which side of the photo is the top, thus
reducing the standard number of clicks to rotate a photo. The icons
allow users to easily map the photo to the correct orientation.
This second screen demonstrates one of the
e-commerce additions which allows the user to buy photo-related merchandise.
It was designed to follow the "guided action" interface*
which focuses the user's attention onto one task. It also uses what
we affectionately called "the big yellow button" to make
the next action very clear.
Last, is an example of a flowchart for the checkout process. It was produced
using Inspiration which the Snapfish standard application for flowcharts.
